Didn’t disappoint!  Returned to the condo for the second year in a row; two couples escaping a cold and wet Midwest spring. Beautiful condo, excellent location, friendly people and excellent service. No argument over who gets the best master suite, they’re both great! Safe and convenient location; steps from the beach chairs in a setting that’s very private. Well stocked with everything for cooking to snorkeling. Try the restaurants in town, all are within walking distance and Marcie’s recommendations are spot on. Have fun!

Such a nice place to stay and great location. Perfect place to stay to enjoy Cozumel!  The property is perfect for 2 couples to stay. Both bedrooms are master suites and you can’t go wrong in either bedroom. The grounds are well kept. View is unbeatable and staff are very friendly and helpful. Been staying in same place for the past 5 years and hopefully will continue to stay going forward. Marcie thank you so much for letting us stay there. Vacation was great.

Awesome Oceanfront view deluxe condo!   Just arrived home after 10 wonderful days in Cozumel. We couldn’t have chosen a better to place to stay. El Cantil Sur is a great place to stay as it is only minutes from the airport, walking distance to shopping and many nearby restaurants and is perfect for couples with the two master bedrooms. We spent 4 days diving and a deep sea fishing trip. What a pleasure to be picked up by boat at the private dock which is only steps away from the condo via the private access. We really enjoyed spending time on the patio watching the many boats and cruise ships pass by not to mention the spectacular sunsets. If you plan to scuba dive there is no better place to stay and the diving is some of the best In the world! The owners, Dave & Marcie are great and provide very useful info such as places to eat, shop and best dive operators. I highly recommend this place for your next stay.

Everything within walking distance that you need. We were able to explore restaurants that we never had time to on one day cruise stops. We’ll equip kitchen. Dave and Marcie supply excellent suggestions for dining and other activities, too.

Beautiful condo with a gorgeous view!   The condo is absolutely beautiful with very comfy beds and well stocked kitchen, so nice to have the dock for dive pick ups and terrific access to grocery store and downtown. The only downside there is no sun in the mornings due to the high rise building and the jacuzzi wasn’t working while we were there.

Fantastic condo on the sea! This condo was fab!   Good snorkeling right off the shore, even saw a squid! Convenient to grocery, restaurants but best because it was elevated from the ground with shrubbery blocking for privacy. The people that took care of us were so gracious! Restaurants were great in the area. Sunsets to end the day. No Long Beach to walk on but we knew that and went for snorkeling off the deck. Dave and Marcie were most gracious and the condo was equipped with all you could need!! Want to return before too long!

Wonderful Week in Cozumel!   We had a great week in Cozumel traveling with my wife’s parents. The condo was beautiful with two large master bedrooms, both with sliders to the spacious patio. The location in the building was perfect with steps from the patio down to the beach front. El Cantil’s two building are very well maintained with friendly staff in abundance. We are looking forward to our next trip to Cozumel and hope we can get this same condo.

Nice Condo, Great Location!   Stayed here with my family of four in April 2017. We have two boys (aged 14 and 16). The condo was clean, comfortable and had everything we wanted for a relaxing vacation. Probably the best aspect of the condo is the convenient location. You can easily walk to grocery stores and good restaurants. The yellow shirted property managers / security were helpful and present. We felt safe. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. A big thanks to Marcie and David for sharing their condo. This was an excellent VRBO experience.

Excellent layout and location!   The property description and pictures are accurate. Grocery stores are across the street and easy access to restaurants, dive outfits pick you up at the dock on the property. I was a little concerned about street noise initially but the layout of the condo is such that you cannot hear any traffic at night. It is a beautiful condo and is decorated and stocked with all the right stuff. (some of the knives need to be sharpened) Being on the street level is a real plus here as street level condos have their own access directly to the pool/ocean from the balcony. This part of Cozumel has mostly rock along the shore but the dock has a ladder you can climb into/out of the water. The property has sandy areas with chairs/umbrellas but not an actual sand beach in case you require that. (the rocks make for very interesting snorkeling in 5-15 foot of water with lots of sea life) The owner was available and helpful and the property manager “Alex” spoke great english and was very helpful multiple times. He called to make sure we got settled in and made sure we knew how to contact him on his cell phone. The condo has two landlines, one phone is a U.S. based phone and the other is a Cozumel phone in case you are concerned about cellular billing problems. There is a lot of information for guests in a ring binder provided at the condo such as snorkel locations, restaurants, maps etc. The layout with 2 masters was great for our family of 4. My wife says this is her favorite condo out of the many we have rented over the years. If we return to Cozumel, we will definitely stay here again. If you rent here, take their advice on restaurants, we did and we were not disappointed. Le Chef, Kondessa, Blue Angel---all good.

Beautiful, luxuious, convenient!   Exactly as described and more. Yes, on a busy street along the front but when you are in this condo you can’t stay away from the peace and beauty of the back of the unit; the view, the pool, the snorkeling and the dive outfit (Blue XT!) that picks you up right at the building. Meanwhile the busy street side has the supermarket access and walk-ablility to The Square with the shops and restaurants and the ferry to Playa delCarmen. Sparkling clean, superb concierge service. We were there with 2 teenage daughters who shared a ginormous bed perfectly. And it’s true what they say about Cozumel and the world class diving in the National Park protected area Palancar Reef etc.

We love this place!   We have been to Cozumel several times, but this was out first stay at El Cantil. This stay really raised the bar, as it will be hard to top. The unit is perfectly located so you don’t have to drive or take a taxi everywhere. Also being on the ground floor makes it even more convenient. This casa is beautifully decorated and very spacious. The kitchen was fully stocked for everything you need. The floor plan is perfect for two couples because there are two master suites, each with a huge bathroom. The staff at El Cantil were friendly and helpful. The infinity pool is fabulous. After diving every day we would retreat to the pool for refreshments and beautiful sunsets. Definitely recommend and look forward to returning.

Great for a family, ideal location!   We had a terrific time at El Cantil over spring break last week! Location is perfect with shopping across the street, restaurants within walking distance (try Local 707), and the ocean just steps from the condo. Daily maid service was terrific (they even washed the dishes for us) so the place was always spotless. We loved snorkeling by the condo, swimming in the infinity pool, and hanging out on the deck. Spent a day at Mr Sanchos beach club ($20 cab ride each way) and our boys (ages 17 and 11) loved it! Definitely got our money’s worth out of the all inclusive rates, also paid extra for the aqua park which they loved. Our oldest rented a jet ski and had a blast, they also offer parasailing when the wind dies down. We watched NCAA Basketball at Kelleys Bar (outside seating and 8 TV screens) and had a great dinner at Kondesa. No need for a car as cabs will take you everywhere. We did do a day trip to Chichen Itza and Tulum so we rented a car for the day in PDC, cost was around $100 with the insurance (a must!). And finally, we did a day of snorkeling out in the Marine Park which was absolutely fantastic. We saw huge starfish, electric eels, see turtles, eagle rays, and a pretty good size nurse shark. Next time we come back we plan to be SCUBA certified!

Delightful!   We stayed for a week with another couple and couldn’t be happier with the property. It’s spacious and beautifully decorated. The only “complaint” we have about the condo is how old and difficult to open the screen doors are for the deck/balcony. It’s definitely time to replace those. Certainly didn’t ruin our stay, but it was a challenge to quietly open the screens without calling attention to yourself. We also struggled with the key cards – perhaps user error, but not easy to open the door on the first try. The condo is on the main level and offers easy access to the beach and pool. Other floors have to go through the parking garage to get to the pool and beach. The office staff – especially Claudia – were wonderful. So helpful and welcoming. We were a little bit frustrated with the cleaning staff. Not being early risers and getting out of the condo early, we requested the cleaning staff to come after 12:00. Most mornings, she showed up at 10:30 and when we asked that she come back in the afternoon, she was back at 11:30. The condo is conveniently located across the street from Chedraui – a store which offers everything from bread and eggs to bolts of fabric. Close to downtown and easily within walking distance of many wonderful restaurants. If we come back with another couple again, we would be sure to return to El Cantil.

Nicest condo we’ve ever stayed at!   Sparkling clean, super spacious and gorgeously decorated. Perfect setup for two couples- identical master suites separated by the main living area. Huge balcony that is steps away from pool or ocean with a beautiful view, but still private. You can hang out at pool or oceanfront and get to your condo for a beer or the bathroom in seconds. Convenient location - walk to groceries, dozens of bars/restaurants, shopping, etc. Employees super nice. Fabulous sunsets.

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome! Best location EVER!   Right next to the ocean, so you walk out your bedroom (or the living room), down some steps, and BAM! There’s the ocean and the pool! Also, you’re within walking distance of almost everything. The Mega store is great and all, but even closer is the other store (can’t recall name right now, but it’s literally across the street), and the selections were better, more variety, and usually less expensive. Made it super easy to cook a lot of meals in the great kitchen. Claudia (sp?) welcomed us the first day and gave us a tour of the unit, explained a couple things, and answered any questions we had. She was great and helped us rent a car for a day and was able to provide some more information about things other days. Dealing with Marcie (the owner) was incredibly easy and super nice (Thanks, Marcie!). Positives: Location in town, size of unit, # of bathrooms (2.5), all the kitchen necessities and then some!, filtered water throughout the entire unit - including showers/sinks/etc., proximity and accessibility to ocean/pool, beach/pool towels provided, daily cleaning, and finally (and this is actually really important), there was usually someone in a yellow El Cantil shirt sitting nearby the entrances so we felt much better about being on the first floor. Negatives: The knives in the kitchen could have been sharper, and the ice machine ice cubes tasted weird/salty. Yeah, I know... that’s not much to moan about, is it??!!? Definitely worth coming back to again!!!! Nearby restaurants that were tasty and within walking distance: Jeanie’s, Rock ‘n Java, Del Sur (a bit farther walk, but still doable). I wouldn’t necessarily recommend Alberto’s... it wasn’t bad, but just OK. Chen Rio (on the other side of the island) has great Mojito’s and an excellent dining on the sand beach location!

Exceeded expectations!   We stayed 8 days, today being our last day. What a wonderful trip. There is so much to do in Cozumel. This was our first trip to Cozumel but certainly will not be our last. This condo is absolutely beautiful. There is daily maid service and the ladies keep this place spotless! All of the employees at this property work very hard and are extremely friendly. The pool is really nice and the snorkeling right in front of the property is nice! The owners were very easy to work with and made the process super easy. Even though the Primo restaurant is no longer open, there is a breakfast service on the top floor of the north building. They make eggs to order and also provide other options, cereal, toast, Danish, etc. this was really handy. Walking into town was nice, there is a starbucks a few blocks away, which was a great option. Some wonderful restaurants that we enjoyed were Kinta, Buccanos, Casa Mission, Guidos, Rolandis and Gorditos. When we return, we plan on staying in this same condo. We also did Chakanaab beach and swam with dolphins, a truly amazing experience. We also did a day excursion to Xel Ha and booked a private tour of the island yesterday with Tours Plaza. Definitely plan on going to Coconuts on the eastern side, incredibly beautiful! All in all one of our most favorite vacations. Anyone choosing this condo will be totally satisfied.

Awesome condo! Can’ t wait to return! We LOVED this condo!   It was just perfect for two couples with the double master bedrooms. And we especially loved being on the first floor! Easy access to the pool and the beautiful sunsets. Walk to town was nice, as well as the grocery store right across the street. We appreciated having phone access to the states. Claudia helped us w a car rental and we so enjoyed driving south. She also set us up with wonderful massages. I can’t thin k of anything the condo needed or any downsides to this fabulous condo.The access to snorkel gear and fresh beach towels every day were another plus. Both Cozumel and El Cantil were awesome.

WOW!! The Bar has been set high!   This condo was everything the pictures showed. Had only done Cozumel day visits and decided to spend 2 full weeks, what a great holiday. The location of the condo is just excellent - 2 great grocery store across the road, tons of places to eat within walking distance. We loved San Miguel! Loved the e-mails from Marcie prior to our holiday with new places they had tired, and the instruction sheet on how to grab a cab etc was nice to have. Of course the best was sitting on the balcony and watching the ocean and all the cruise ships, then going down the stairs to put your toes in the sand and a quick dip in the pool or ocean. We definitely holiday in Cozumel again and will settle for nothing less that Casa de Sol y Luna.

EXCELLENT GETAWAY SPOT!   This condo was a great location, close to airport, close to town, close to ferry, city on one side, water on the other, was very spacious, clean, comfortable, and very well equipped. We had some travel problems and long story, short, the owner was super flexible, quick to respond, and extremely helpful in not only accommodating our travel situation but helping us navigate the area. Now, the other thing is that the customer service at the condos was absolutely wonderful. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure that we were happy. The overall experience was cost efficient (grocery store across the street with reasonable prices) and a whole lot of fun for 3 girls on a girl trip. Very relaxing.

Great location and terrific condo!   We stayed here with another couple and it was absolutely wonderful! The condo is on the first floor and right by the pool. We were diving most days and our dive boat was able to pick us up right in front, very convenient. It is located right across the street from a major grocery store and a very easy walk into town for shopping or restaurants. The condo was extremely well equipped for cooking and relaxing. We tended to eat on the porch which faced the beach and allowed us to catch some stunning sun sets. There is an Internet phone which made it very easy to stay in touch with our family back home. This is a perfect set up for two couples because there are two complete master bedrooms and bathrooms. We definitely plan on staying here next time we are in Cozumel and would highly recommend it to our family and friends.

First-rate accommodations!   This is a lovely spot for a great vacation. The rooms are large, clean, and comfortable. The terrace is absolutely lovely. Though it’s on the ground floor, it is raised up a bit from the ground and nicely screened off by the landscaping. There’s enough there to maintain privacy without disturbing the spectacular view. There are grocery stores across the street and five minutes’ away, making shopping easy. It’s a 10-15 minute walk into town, though anything too far off the main drag takes a bit longer. The pool area is lovely, as well, with just an incredible view. You can also swim or snorkel off the dock, though the best snorkeling is further down the island. The staff does a very good job of keeping the unit, the pool, and the entire building clean. We were there during the off-season, and there was occasional noise from repairs in other units, but nothing too disturbing. And it was off-season. The nearby restaurants are so-so and still pretty touristy (especially Margarita-Ville). We much preferred the places the locals frequent, though they’re not as easy to find (search out Los Otates; it’s a dive by American standards, but the food is authentic and excellent). The owners were very easy to deal with, and everything went swimmingly. Absolutely recommended.

Great Condo and Great Location!   We have been going to Cozumel for twelve years. This was by far our best visit ever. We loved everything about this condo - the comfort, the decor, the location and the staff. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and the view is terrific. We are divers and this unit was a perfect location - the dock is steps from the balcony and there are convenient rinse tanks and storage for dive gear. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to make quick lunches or full dinners. And we loved the convenience of the market right across the street. While it was great having a kitchen, we also took advantage of many of the local restaurants recommended by the owners. This is by far the best place on the island and we can’t wait to return.

Cozumel Comfort--Our New Favorite!   We’ve been to Cozumel several times, but have always stayed at the all-inclusive resorts on the island. The town of San Miguel has so many friendly people and excellent restaurant’s! The location of this condo is an easy walk to town so you have the flexibility to go explore anytime. If relaxing “at home” is more your thing, there is a large and modern market right across the street where you can stock up on groceries and beverages so you can just spend time at the condo enjoying the views of the ocean and sunset on your own patio. The kitchen is wonderfully stocked and has everything you need to prepare a meal at home if you prefer. Being on the main floor provided great access to the beach area, pool and dock. The staff was amazing and friendly--always present, available and eager to help! Our condo was always clean with daily maid service. It was also perfect to have breakfast included at the restaurant on the property. You could get a tasty big breakfast to start your day with great views of town and the whole island from there. If you dive, you can easily arrange to be picked up right at the dock on the property. The sleeping areas are quite and comfortable and both couples enjoyed the fact that each bedroom had their own private entry from the bedroom to the patio facing the ocean. As far as “noise” you can hear the road traffic while you’re standing in the kitchen, but it’s not a nuisance at all and you don’t even sense that the condo is on the main road while you are relaxing on the patio or even in the main living area or bedrooms. We would definitly spend our future Cozumel vacations at this property!

Wish I could give 6 stars!   I am not the type to just give 5 stars away. However, this was one of the best places I’ve ever stayed especially when you consider value. The location is perfect. You are a 5-10 min walk to the touristy part of town but just far enough away that you see more locals on your block than tourists. Immediately across the street is a huge grocery/pharmacy/wal-mart-type store which was very convenient. Also across the street was a movie theater which showed newly released movies for cheap in English with Spanish subtitles. The condo facilities were outstanding. The unit was probably the cleanest I’ve ever stayed in. The beds were very comfortable. Each bedroom was huge with walk-in closets, walk-in showers. Our favorite part was the waterfront view and balcony. With three rooms facing the ocean only 100 feet away, and floor to ceiling glass on those walls, we felt we were always looking out at a picture perfect setting. I was worried that we wouldn’t have privacy. However, the 1st floor units are about 1/2 a floor above the beach level and with strategically placed plants, it was very private. My wife and kids couldn’t believe I got such a great place. I was a bit of a hero. Other nice features: - private dock 50 steps from your balcony where dive boats pick you up - nice snorkeling right out front of the condo - Great pool area (the only heated pool in Cozumel). It was kept very clean (sand raked & pool cleaned often) - Free breakfast at an excellent on-site restaurant. The 9th floor of the building has a great restaurant (both the American and Mexican fare) - Free wi-fi, free Vonage phone with a US number, free local phone, ... - The kitchen was stocked with above average quality and quantity of wares. - On-site service was excellent: friendly, accommodating, always around, etc. I felt like I was in the ocean front penthouse at a 5-star hotel paying much much less. We can’t wait to go back.

The Best in Cozumel by far!  We spent a month in Casa de Dol y Luna at El Cantil, and also two weeks the year previous. This condo is a divers haven! Open up you patio doors to the most incredible turqoise water and there waiting is the dive boat to take you to the world’s best diving. 5 miinte walk to town are some of the best restaurant in all of mexico! Across the street are two grocery stores. The location is the best in all of Cozumel. The condo is spectacular, fully equiped and maid service everyday. We have been to Cozumel many many times, now that we found Casa de Sol Luna, it will be the only place we stay!

The Best of Cozumel!   Casa de Sol y Luna, located in El Cantil Sur – Marvelous! I have stayed there on several occasions now. On the water, close to downtown (4 blocks), supermarket across the street, 4-star restaurant next door, and the dive boat picks you up on the dock, 20 steps from the front terrace. All the comforts of home; including a great kitchen, laundry facilities, large walk-in showers, comfortable beds and two large suites. If you can’t leave it all behind, you’ll find Vonage, Dish Network, Internet and wireless available. As far as El Cantil is concerned, this unit is on the ground floor, has direct access to the beach off the front terrace, and is far enough away from the pool to offer some privacy and peace. I’m going back next month!

I wish there was a 6 Star rating!   We went to Cozumel for my Open Water Certification and first few free dives. The location of this unit could not have been more convenient. For diving, the boat picked us up and dropped us off right in front of the condo! The first floor access made it easy to deal with all the equipment. The unit itself is very comfortable, clean, well equipped and furnished and, as stated above, the location can’t be beat. The two suites are very comparable. If you want to travel with friends, no need to flip a coin for the best room. Right across the street is a great market. Walking to restaurants and downtown Cozumel was a breeze. The rear of the condo has a great balcony that is surprisingly private given that it is about 50 short steps from the pool! We would and plan to return again!!!!

Fabulous location and spectacular ocean view!   This condo has the best location in Cozumel. It is on a quiet street and is only a short walk to all our favorite restaurants and the town square. Across the street is a supermercado where you can get everything you need if you feel like cooking. We really loved that both bedrooms had spectacular ocean views and that all the rooms were beautifully decorated as well as comfortable and immaculately clean. The gourmet kitchen was well equipped. Our friends stayed in a unit on a higher floor and we all agreed that the first floor location of this condo was superior because of the greater privacy and convenience it offered. The beautiful infinity pool and the lovely white sand beach in the back were our favorite places for relaxing in the sun. We are not scuba divers but our friends told us that the diving amenities were outstanding, including a dock for pick-up. We had a fabulous vacation in the sun and would definitely recommend Cozumel and this immaculately clean condo.

Always sad to leave.... We try to stay here whenever we come to Cozumel.  It is beautifully appointed and the views are to die for! The infinity pool is so amazing that you will love lounging around enjoying the sights and sounds of the ocean or watching a beautiful sunset. The dive boats pick you up just step from your door. The rinse tank for your dive gear is close and there are lockers to store your gear in. It has a great kitchen but if you don’t like to cook, you are close enough to town to walk to any restaurant. We always feel at home here. The staff is amazing and my kids love it when they remember their names. This is paradise!!!

The property owners had thought through every need. It was spotless and very well kept. Spacious closets, large master baths with beautiful tile and king beds made up the private areas. Our week stay at this condo was relaxing. Comfortable. And perfect.

Best room on the island!   This was the best vacation we ever had. The people in the complex were fun to hang out with. The room is on the first floor so you can walk right out onto the pool area. The pool was so relaxing I took 4 naps in one day (a record)We hope to go back again soon

Relax in Style!   What a great time I had at El Cantil. The LOCATION is spectacular. The property is very well maintained. Everything is in walking distance restaurants, grocery, dive shops, and entertainment. Being on the first floor was not a problem actually it was a plus. With in seconds you were out the patio door and either at the pool or the boat dock or right out on the street walking to town. No waiting for elevators. The unit was tastefully decorated that gave you a warm vacation feeling. The diving was the best I ever had and everyone was very friendly. The owners can recommend the best dive shops on the island and the dive boat picks you up right at your own boat dock. Casa de Sol y Luna at El Cantil had evything I needed and made this a wonderfull hassale free vaction. I can not wait to go back.

Memorial Day Dive Trip. We had a great time over Memorial Day weekend!  The condo was perfect for two couples as it has almost identical Master bedrooms. The El Cantil staff is extremely courteous and helpful. Our favorite restaurants and a huge new grocery store were all within walking distance. I especially wanted to thank you for recommending Jeremy Anschel at Living Underwater.  He and his crew were fantastic, and we will definitely dive with them again. I hope we get the opportunity to go back again soon.  If we do, we’ll check to see if you any availability first. Take Care!

Beautiful Cozumel Condo!   The description of Casa de Sol y Luna at El Cantil is accurate but doesn’t even do it justice. This condo is beautifully furnished with lots of amenities and great small touches. The condo is extremely clean, impeccably maintained, and the maid service exemplary. It is conveniently located for both waking into town out the front door and participating in water (pool and ocean) activities out the back. It is extremely convenient for scuba diving, with a dock for boat pickup, rinse tank, and big dive lockers. Our favorite restaurants include Kinta, La Cocay, and Sorrisi. We recommend diving with Liquid Blue Divers, who will pick you up and drop you off right at the dock. If we win the lottery, we would be tempted to move in permanently!

Great, Perfect Condo and Location!   Casa de Sol y Luna is now the only place that we will stay on Cozumel. I really hate to write this review as I am afraid that it will become so popular that we will have to fight for our time there. But I feel I owe it to the owners of the condo as they have been great. Take their recommendations and you will not be sorry. I have referred several people to CSL over the past couple of years and they have raved about the entire experience. What do I love about the experience? Everything. The beauty and thoughtfulness of the design and decor of the unit. The beachfront location. The access to groceries, restaurants and the center of Cozumel. The quiet, staff, pool and the water which is virtually at our lanai door. The great lanai where we watch the sunsets and enjoy a cool one or two. Wynstons, the restaurant upstairs. The short walk to town along the waterfront. Not having to deal with cruisers. No offense. And of course the people of Cozumel. We own a condo on the beach in Maui and I hate to say it, but I would rather stay in Casa de Sol y Luna. I can’t wait for our next trip.
